Prior to founding KBM, Senior Partner Kevin Karl, under the auspices of a noted Napa Valley public relations agency, represented Schramsberg, Robert Sinskey, Luna, and Inniskillin Vineyards; and restaurant clients Stars Bar & Dining, Emporio Rulli, and the Beach Chalet Brewery and Restaurant. He quickly became known for his personable and professional dedication in overseeing all aspects of communications including highly personalized media outreach. Prior to that, he spent 17 years as an event planner and manager in Ft. Worth / Dallas, Texas, providing services to civic, social and philanthropic organizations.

His most notable personal achievement was obtaining state grant funds, in 1988, to establish the Aids Outreach Center of Ft. Worth.

Managing Partner Stephen Bright brings 12 years' experience in design and event production for the Hotels and Resorts division of Rosewood Properties, and business management of boutique Napa Valley wine-producing companies, Harrison Vineyards and Quixote Winery, as well as the popular regional shelter / lifestyle magazine, Wine Country Living, which spawned a companion Bay Area television show for the local NBC affiliate.

Consulting Partner Elizabeth Mariani received her public relations education at I.Magnin, San Francisco, the temple of West Coast elegance, where she presented Giorgio Armani's famous "Kabuki" collection, the newly independent Donna Karan; Calvin Klein and Carlos Falchi, and publicized Hubert de Givenchy's first full-scale presentation of his couture collection in the U.S. Later, she launched the luxury Internet florist B Brooks Fine Flowers.
